Interactive Shooting Systems ARCADA® - Hoganís Alley

"Hoganís Alley" is a system of specific exercises for tactical shooting drill. Initiated in 1987 by the Practical Applications Unit of the FBI Academy, complex provides effective shooting drill to law enforcement, security and special service agents worldwide. The backbone of the method consists in modeling of diverse combat missions (hostage release, areas "clear" so they are safe to enter etc.) in realistic scenery. To prevent "familiarization effect" scenery design, targetsí types, their quantity and disposition vary. At "Hoganís Alley" trainees learn tactical combat techniques, instant response to the unexpected situation as well as accurate firearms skills with ďshot Ė no shotĒ decision making.

Until recently to put "Hoganís Alley" on the map there needed significant area of several acres, plenty of mechanical targets and scenery elements that had to be replaced after working out. Now due to ARCADA® unique hardware and 3D-technologies "Hoganís Alley" can be reconstructed in any shooting house fitted with ARCADA® interactive shooting system.

When shooting drill at standard targets (chest, silhouette, and round) the "camera" moves over a selected map. The task is to "clear" the area hitting all the targets including dynamic ones. The targets move in different ways: "pendulum-like", "rush-like", "peek out from round the corner", "turn out" etc. "Camera" movement speed, targetsí types, their quantity and disposition vary from one drill to another.

When shooting drill at special targets (anatomical, "terrorist with hostage" etc.) the "camera" moves over a selected map. The task is to hit the targets with armed adversariesí images. Extra task is to train "shot Ė no shot" decision making skills as there are targets with hostagesí and bystandersí images. The targets move in different ways: "pendulum-like", "rush-like", "peek out from round the corner", "turn out" etc. "Camera" movement speed, targetsí types, their quantity and disposition vary from one drill to another.
